Ed - Your attempt to steer the topic away from the true issue - the appalling oppression of the Tibetan people by the Chinese government - is thinly veiled. Laughable, really.

It is funny to watch the video of Kate Saunders fabricating horror stories about disappearing Tibetans as though she witnessed the events herself. Kate must be a well-vested MI5 member, because she was reciting what the British did in Hong Kong in the late sixties in the name of Internal Security Act. During that period people in HK disappeared and were locked up in the “White House” underground cells; deported from HK without trial and charges. I guess it is hard for Kate to give up her British imperialist “divide and conquer” trick to undermine other nations’ sovereignty. Peace, harmony and prosperity in former puppet states are constant reminders of their imperialists dark past of exploitation. Kate is doing a fine job of diverting the attention of hypocrisy, arrogance and prejudice of the British and the West. As Mark Curtis said Britain is a nation of Elective Dictatorship and master of deceit, Kate performed superbly to confuse the world about the real role of British in destabilizing Tibet as shown in the video interview. If the West genuinely cares about the Tibetans, they should consider providing advice and aid in improving the living standards and education, to name a few, of the Tibetan people. This would be a more productive process than manufacturing endless smear campaigns against China to divert attention from ones own social injustices.
